The Ground Fault Locator ARL-K-3837 is a sophisticated ground fault locator developed to fast detect, track, and pinpoint virtual grounding faults on DC systems. It saves hours of unnecessary troubleshooting and helps increase the reliability of electrical equipment. This device is widely used in power utilities, locomotive, and telecom DC systems. The ARL-K-3837 performs fault location during operation without disconnection, using a signal generator to inject a current signal and a detector/analyzer to trace it to the fault point.

• Signal analyzer quickly indicates changes when insulation resistance changes.
• Signal detector and analyzer have wireless communication.
• Signal detection is not affected once the signal analyzer and detector are synchronized.
• During fault location, the current clamp can either clamp on single cable or multiple cables.
• Signal detector will indicate the direction of the ground fault.
• Complete measurement and trouble-shooting function: Signal detector/analyzer can handle different types of insulation problems.

• Measures voltage between DC system and ground from 0 to 300V.
• Measures grounding resistance up to 999KΩ
 for both busbars and each branch circuit.
• Detects and measures AC voltage which interrupts the DC system. Detection range is from 0 to 388V.
• Fast signal positioning for the point of ground fault in the branch circuit.
• Functions as an accurate current meter with resolution up to 0.01mA.
• Quickly pinpoints the ground fault without injecting a DC signal.
• Arrow indication effectively helps users trace the signal and pinpoint the ground fault.
• Displays insulation index after signal detection on each tested branch circuit.
• Waveform display for tested circuit, indicating insulation status and current changes.
