The Ground Fault Locator ARL-K-3838 Earth Fault Detector is an advanced and updated model developed to fast detect, trace, and pinpoint virtual grounding faults on LIVE DC systems where electrical cables have breakage and current is lost to ground. It is widely used in various DC systems including power utilities, locomotive, and telecom. The ARL-K-3838 uses a low microampere measurement signal and a DC current clamp with high resolution, making it safe to use with no interference to the tested systems.

• Performs the function of an accurate current meter with a resolution up to 0.01mA.
• Fast signal positioning for the point of ground fault in the branch circuit.
• Displays insulation leveling after signal detection on each tested circuit branch.
• Waveform display for the tested circuit, indicating insulation status and current changes.
